We are the original people of this land, descendants of sovereign Denesuline, Ininew, Anishinaabe and Anishininew Nations. This land is our inheritance. Our ancestors signed Treaty 5 with the spirit and intent that the original ways would remain, thrive and enrich our relationship with Canada and their people. The Summit of Treaty Five Sovereign Nations is our declaration to Canada that the 40 Nations are united.

Our ultimate goal is to carve out our own lane and create opportunities for our people with the original ways, and where prosperity replaces generational pain and poverty. The Denesuline, Ininew, Anishinaabe and Anishininew people have been sovereign since time immemorial, we are the heart of this land and we want what is rightfully ours.
